Welcome

In response to queries about the visual components that introduce the Gospels in the Scripture module of RESource we have added some brief notes and questions. These support (and critique) the gospel animations. They are located on the front page directly beneath the animations themselves.

What's On

Advent Festival Sunday 13th December, All Saints, King William Street, Fitzroy. Eucharist at noon, world music, international food, kids' fun, Christmas gifts, meditation. All welcome.

St Mary's School, Corner High St and Mansfield St, Thornbury present a living Nativity each evening of December 22nd to 24th, 2009 - 9pm to Midnight

Jewish Museum, 26 Alma Rd, St Kilda. Women of the Bible an exhibition exploring the interpretation of women in the Bible throughout history. Until March 2010.

Immigration Museum, Flinders St, Melbourne. Talking Faiths: My Story, Your Story, Our Story features multimedia representations and photographs of student projects and artwork developed as part of their interfaith conversations. Until May 2010.

In this week when members of the world's major religions are meeting in Melbourne for the Parliament of World religions, this article by Fr Andy Hamilton invites us to ponder the question of whether ethical thinking needs to include God.  It's a good article for Ethics teachers to ponder over the summer holidays.
